On Wednesday, May 17th, the Upper Captiva Civic Association (UCCA) will hold a Town Hall Zoom with Lieutenant Mike Sawicki of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO). All islanders are encouraged to participate and ask questions during the event. The previous Town Hall with Lt. Sawicki in May 2021 was informative, covering various topics such as golf cart operation, noise complaints, renter evictions, deputizing islanders, boaters and the beach, and drones.
To avoid repetition, this upcoming Town Hall will focus on new issues, though we’ll touch on all hot button issues. Attendees are encouraged to watch the previous event before May 17th to be better informed. A Topical Video Index is available for viewers to easily navigate to specific topics of interest. The LCSO team responsible for our island will be present to answer questions and address concerns. Overall, islanders are urged to attend and participate in this Town Hall to stay informed and engaged in community matters concerning their safety and well-being.
